American Pitbull Foundation

The purpose of the American Pit Bull Foundation is to promote responsible breed ownership through providing owner and public education.

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that focuses on promoting responsible breed ownership through education, programming, and assistance. We provide medical and financial assistance for dogs with responsible owners. We also aid in the adoption of pit bulls to responsible individuals and families.

We recognize the importance of building strong community relationships and without the team-effort mentality, no one organization can succeed to its full potential. We recognize the great importance in combining efforts with other groups and businesses who share similar goals and ethics.

Over 22 veterans a day are lost to suicide, which is now the leading cause of death in the military, surpassing war. Over 4,000 Pit Bulls are killed every day. APBF is the first organization to bridge the gap and exclusively train rescued pit bulls as service dogs to help our veterans overcome the daily struggle of PTSD and depression.
